"Gu Family Book" in 'trash issue', "Not intentional"

The production for "Gu Family Book" explained about the 'trash issue'.

There have been accusations about the production that they didn't clean up after themselves at the Andeok Valley where they shot the popular MBC drama "Gu Family Book". This location was set up to be Goo Wol-ryeong's (Choi Jin-hyuk) main space.

A netizen posted online, "Those involved with the drama, why didn't you clean up your garbage afterwards? The trash has been there for several weeks and it's such a precious space to us" including a picture. Debris of what looks like fake trees are strewn everywhere in the picture.

Samho Networks explained on the 9th of June, "We ended the scene in Andeok Valley in May. We had planted fake trees in May before the shoot and went back down there for them but they weren't there. The remnants of the trees must've looked like garbage".

"This issue about littering has been a shock to all of us and we are frankly quite surprised. The director is very careful about things like this and he even hired more people to clean up the scene around us. We took care when filming in this area and we also received the permission of the city to plant the fake trees".
