Hallyu star Choi Ji-woo and other celebrities will walk down the runway wearing the latest fall and winter designs by Korea's top designers for the Hallyu Fashion Festival on Oct. 21.

The Hallyu Fashion Festival will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Seoul Plaza, in front of City Hall in downtown Seoul. The fashion show, which is open to the public, is aimed at promoting the Korean fashion industry with the help of the popularity of Korea's top stars.

Choi, who starred in the Asia-wide hit dramas "Winter Sonata" and "Stairway to Heaven", and Jung Joon-ho, who starred in hit films "Marrying the Mafia" and "My Boss, My Hero", are the top stars in the event.

Celebrities such as Shin Hyun-joon, Shinhwa member Andy, Fly to the Sky member Brian Joo, Baek Ji-young, Sung Si-kyung and former model Hyun Young will parade as models for the fashion show. R&B girl group Seeya and boy band FT Island will also be there to model designer clothes and perform their latest hit songs.

Top designers Han Seung-soo, Yang Sung-sook, An Yoon Jung, Hwang Jae-bock, Lim Hyun-hee and Park Hye-rin will show off their fall and winter collection at the Hallyu Fashion Festival.

The first Hallyu Fashion Festival was held last May at the Seoul Plaza. The event, which attracted hundreds of people, featured spring and summer fashion collections by designers Lie Sang-bong, Imseonoc, Cho Sung-kyong, Oh Eun-hwan and Chang Kwang-hyo.

The Seoul Fashion Center believes the Hallyu Fashion Festival will boost the profile of Korean designers in the international fashion scene.

Aside from the fashion show, the event on Oct. 21 will also feature a K-pop concert, fan meetings and a photo area featuring wax figures of Hallyu stars.

The show is organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and hosted by the Seoul Business Agency and Seoul Fashion Center.
