Han Hyo-joo to Promote UN Campaign to Fight Malaria in Africa

Actress Han Hyo-joo was named as a promotional ambassador on Monday for a campaign to send mosquito nets to Africa.

The "Nets Go" project sees her tasked with supporting the Korean branch of the UN Foundation in its bid to protect Africans from malaria.

"About 90 percent of those who die from malaria are infants and children below the age of five", said Han in her appeal to the public to join the campaign.

"A mosquito net can protect a family of five from the disease for three years at least".
