"The Accusation by Bandi review – forbidden stories from inside North Korea"

Interested in hearing what life is like over the DMZ? Earlier this year, Bandi (a pseudonym used by a North Korean defector) published a "The Accusation", a collection of extraordinary short stories from the DPRK. Many of the stories, says Bandi in an interview with The Guardian, contain tales of "innocent people whose lives consisted of doing as they were told".

"CJ E&M to Build Cultural Content Complex at HallyuWorld"

CJ E&M has announced plans to add a new complex in Goyang in order to help swell the Korean Wave (aka 'hallyu'). The project will cost around $1.2 billion and will occupy 300,000 square meters at HallyuWorld. In addition to the K-culture content, "people visiting the complex will get to experience the latest advances in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robotics and other state-of-the-art technologies". Construction begins next March for a 2020 opening.
