"South Korea's Latest Food Craze: Gigantic Rodents?"

Nutria, a five-kilogram rodent, which contains bear bile (known for its medicinal properties), has become a somewhat of a fade around Korea's Nakdong River: "Nutria are not monster rats. They were originally brought here for food. Meat is delicious. I know because I have tried it. The colour is light pink and similar to that of pork. Marbling is fine and dense. "These policies helped South Korea's capital decrease food waste"

Food waste is a global concern, and Koreans have made big strides towards reducing their own waste. As this article on PBS notes, several years ago "South Korea instituted a law that requires residents to separate food waste from other garbage and imposes fines on anyone who does not recycle".
