Iona Goulder has compiled a great list of the different ways you can experience the wonderful world of Korean cuisine in Seoul. Hyundai Card's Cooking Library, for example, is "a vast space entirely dedicated to cooking through a comprehensive collection of recipes, documents, souvenirs and even bottles and petri dishes full of different spices, salts and oils (which you can try)". "To promote kimchi abroad, Korean scientists are trying to get rid of the smell"

Is South Korea's beloved fermented cabbage to smelly for some? According to Ha Jae-ho, head of the World Institute of Kimchi in Gwangju, "Most Western people don't like the smell of kimchi because we use [a] of lot of garlic and ginger, and that produces a lot of sulfur compounds". And Anna Fifield notes: "Even among kimchi-loving Koreans, many have separate kimchi fridges to stop the dish from tainting other food. "Korea ranks No. 1 in online grocery shopping"

According to a recent industry report by Kantar WorldPanel, South Korea is the number one country in terms of online shopping. The percentage of goods via online channels (including mobile) rose 16.6% from June 2015 to the same time this year. The growing number of single-person households is thought to be a contributing factor.
