It seems that everyone is on YouTube these days sharing what they love best. Kim Young-won, however, is not your typical YouTuber. This 77-year old has been gaining in popularity by showing how to make some of the country's most iconic dishes. "Kim's videos are rather 'normal' and 'wholesome', as if watching someone's grandmother", writes Park Jin-Has for the Korea Times, "Yet her rather unprofessional-looking video clips are receiving positive responses from viewers".

Late last year, U.K. Celebrity chef and food critic Gordan Ramsay visited Korea and appeared on a popular cooking show. Ramsay, who is known for not holding back in terms of his pointed criticism, is shown hear dishing out his fiery brand of honest to local chefs. The video already has 1.8 million views on YouTube. The Land of the Morning Calm just got a rude awakening.
