Yes, K-art is on the rise (especially minimalism), and while older artists are being rediscovered and honoured, this list features three young, "third-culture" artists who Yeji describes as "individuals who have spent a significant period of their lives in Korea as well as in other countries". The Korea Times interviews Han Hyun-min, an award-winning fashion designer on the rise. Before launching his own brand, "MUNN", back in 2012, Han worked for Woo Young-mi and Lee Sang-hyun, two veteran designers. Now, after his second runway show at Seoul Fashion Week, this young talent is still set on expanding his brand by creating "in [an] unfamiliar way".
