"Noma Han wants to be called tattooist"

The Korea Times interviews Noma Han, a fashion model who turned to tattooing to help him make a living. "For two to three years, I was getting tattoos regularly and one day I suddenly thought that I want to become a tattooist. I hate boring jobs and I get sick of things easy but being a tattooist sound fun", says Han. Han also says he used to feel ashamed of being a tattoo artist, but the positive feedback he's received from his customers has helped him feel more confident about his decision.

"30,000 worn-out shoes hang in Seoul for art"

To celebrate Seoul's new pedestrian-friendly park, a "Shoe Tree" was created from over 30,000 old shoes. Designed by Hwang Ji-hae, the Show Tree is a "creative upcycling art" that acknowledges that Yeomcheon-gyo was historically dominated by handmade shoe shops. "The city restoration project of Seoullo 7017 began four years ago to make use of an old overpass that once served as a major road connecting western and central Seoul".
