When next walking around Korea's cities, you may want to stop and appreciate all the beautiful street art that adorns many of the walls around town. Recently, though, some of that art has come to take on a greater significance. Art and rebellion have an interesting and telling history, and given Korea's love for art and current socio-political tensions, it's not surprisingly that the two can collide in new ways to protest and raise social awareness on important issues: "I have to keep going out and painting in the streets to reveal the absurdity of the world and express the truth", says Kim, "I hope someday the images I make will become a rallying cry to bring change".
