"South Korea uses technology to help pregnant women get seats in subways"

When traveling Korea's subway systems you'll notice that a number of seats are reserved for the elderly, the disabled and pregnant women, but too often those seats are taken by other passengers. However, there is a new app called "The Pink Light Campaign" that aims to let passengers know that there is someone on the way who will need to use those reserved seats. "Equipped with a wireless sensor, it activates a pink light attached to another sensor installed on a metal bar next to special priority seats, usually at the end of subway cars. The idea is to alert all nearby that the person carrying the beacon has a baby on the way".
