On May 6th actress Han Ji-sung died in a car accident on the Incheon International Airport Highway at 3:52 in the morning. The news was confirmed by persons relevant to the event on May 8th. Until that time she was known only to be a woman in her twenties.
The tragedy comes nearly a month after the release of Han Ji-sung's most recent movie, "One Punch", a pulp movie about high school gangsters intended for release in the on demand market. Choi Gyoo-ri, the lead actress in that film, released a photo of Han Ji-sung with her female co-stars taken on set in memoriam on Instagram.
Han Ji-sung was driving the car with her husband in the passenger seat. Alcohol use has been proposed as a possible explanation for the accident, which was caused when Han Ji-sung brought the car to a sudden stop and then exited the vehicle. Her husband claims that this was so he could go to the bathroom.
