[HanCinema's News] BH Entertainment Makes Vague Threat Against Malicious Commenters

On April 30th BH Entertainment released a public statement wherein the agency threatened legal action against any persons spreading libelous rumors against the performers they represent on the Internet. It is not clear what provoked BH Entertainment to publish this statement, as there are no significant rumors going on at present implicating any actors they represent.

The vagueness of the statement may have been deliberate, as naming a specific actor would have helped identify a specific, obscure rumor that they were worried about, thus accidentally amplifying it. Lee Byung-hun, Yoo Ji-tae, Han Hyo-joo, and Han Ji-min are the most famous performers represented by BH Entertainment. But none has faced any apparent obvious controversy or damage to their reputation as of late.
The notice may also have been more of a general one, rather than related to any specific rumor. BH Entertainment could simply be asserting to rumormongers that they are always on the lookout to prosecute those who would seek to do improper damage to the clients they represent.
