[HanCinema's News] Chae Jong-hyeop Confirmed for "Is It a Coincidence?"

On November 18th, IOK Company confirmed that Chae Jong-hyeop, who is represented by the talent agency, will appear in the upcoming television drama "Is It a Coincidence?" alongside previously confirmed leading lady Kim So-hyun. The romance about first loves meeting again by chance ten years later is based on the webtoon of the same title. Chae Jong-hyeop will play the role of Kang Hoo-yung, with these twists of fate being turned on work in an American firm.

His character is described as having such an easy time with this experience that life had become boring for him. So reuniting with his old high school classmate makes for an interesting turn of events. This will be the third leading role for Chae Jong-hyeop following "Love All Play" earlier this year on KBS and the upcoming "Unlock My Boss" on ENA. There's no word yet on which network "Is It a Coincidence?" will be airing on.
Chae Jong-hyeop got his first big break as a member of the greater ensemble on "Stove League" in 2019. His first major role was as the second lead in "Nevertheless" last year. "Is It a Coincidence?" is expected to premiere sometime next year.
