[HanCinema's News] Core Cast Confirmed for "One Dollar Lawyer"

On May 12th SBS confirmed the core cast for the upcoming legal drama "One Dollar Lawyer" and also confirmed that the drama will air in the Friday/Saturday slot later this year. Namkoong Min, Kim Ji-eun, and Lee Deok-hwa are now officially confirmed cast members rather than just speculated members. They will also be joined by Choi Dae-hoon and Park Jin-woo-II in new confirmed named roles.

Namkoong Min in the leading role will play Cheon Ji-hoon, a powerful and heroic lawyer, who is described as having noteworthy experiences in the backstreets of London. This will be the first leading role for Namkoong Min since "The Veil" in 2021 and his first SBS project since "Stove League" in 2019. Kim Ji-eun will play Baek Ma-ri, who comes from a pedigreed family of lawyers. The actress is currently appearing on "Again My Life" which is also airing on SBS.

Choi Dae-hoon will play another pedigreed legal official Seo Min-hyeok, who is engaged to marry Baek Ma-ri in part because of the business relationship of their families. Lee Deok-hwa will play the grandfather of Kim Ji-eun's character, Baek Hyeon-moo, who founded a law firm adjacent to these dealings. Lastly, Park Jin-woo-II will play a purser, who is also associated with law offices. "One Dollar Lawyer" is expected to begin airing on South Korean television later this year.
