[HanCinema's News] "Exit - Movie" Now Jo Jong-suk's Best Office Feature

After its fortieth day at the box office "Exit - Movie" has hit over 9.22 million viewers. While the movie's still a long way from ten million, it has already earned the distinction of being the best box office performance of a movie featuring Cho Jung-seok. That title was previously held by "The Face Reader", which exited the South Korean box office with 9.13 million viewers.

The milestone demonstrates how far Cho Jung-seok has come since then. While he held the lead role in "Exit - Movie", back in "The Face Reader" he was just a part of the supporting cast in a Joseon costume drama epic that was headlined by Song Kang-ho. Cho Jung-seok has often had an inconsistent career when it comes to dramas and films, though he has always had consistent work in one capacity or another.

With the undisputed triumph of "Exit - Movie" at the box office, however, Cho Jung-seok is now poised to begin his next project with more than the usual amount of anticipation. He has been confirmed in the leading role for the upcoming drama "Hospital Playlist", the latest drama from the writer/director team of Lee Woo-jeong-I and Sin Won-ho, who made the popular 'Answer Me' series as well as "Prison Playbook".
