[HanCinema's News] "her Private Life" Releases Stills of Airplane Scene

2019/04/08 | 364 views | Permalink

New stills of "Her Private Life" provide some context for the relationship of Ryan (played by Kim Jae-wook) with Deok-mi (played by Park Min-young. Through three separate pictures we can see Ryan giving a disgusted, side-eyed look at Cindy (played by Kim Bo-ra), who appears to be taking a photo of Si-an (played by One) on her phone.

As Ryan is known to be Si-an's friend, it can be inferred that Ryan has a protective relationship with the younger man, who probably has to deal with privacy-invading fans. The English language newspaper (along with Ryan's own English language name) suggests at a cultured international man likely to look down at fan culture.

As Deok-mi is simultaneously high culture (by being a curator) and low culture (by obsessing over idols in her spare time), the dual identity poses an obvious test for Ryan. It remains to be seen which of Deok-mi's personas Ryan will encounter first.
