Kim Sang-hyuk has had a busy week. First, on April 7th he got married to online shopping mall CEO Song Da-ye. Then he and his wife quickly announce participation in charity efforts related to Gangwon wildfires, and they also join the variety show 'The Wife's Taste'.
News was first announced of the wedding on March 22nd. Kim Sang-hyuk used a personal letter to deliver the news to his agency. It said he had reached a big decision and had promised himself to the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
The relationship was not a secret. Information about the wedding was available on Kim Sang-hyuk's social media, and he spoke positively of his bride to be publically. His fiancée was in turn similarly expressive.
In the days leading up to the wedding, Kim Sang-hyuk and his wife also participated in charity drives for victims of the ongoing wildifres in Gangwon. Song Da-ye emphasized that while the money was not much even a little is important in times like this.
She also fell down the stairs. This raised skepticism that perhaps Kim Sang-hyuk had really been hitting her. Song Da-ye replied to these theories by stating that they get along well, that Kim Sang-hyuk is not the kind of man who would hit a woman and that she is not the kind of woman who would just stand by and accept that kind of abuse.
Lastly, the new couple will appear on the variety show 'The Wife's Taste' starting on April 9th. The show is about cooking in the context of marriage. Kim Sang-hyuk and Song Da-ye will be newlyweds, and will go into personal details like the one hundred year ring, the story behind the proposal, and the wedding itself.
