[HanCinema's News] Kong Hyun-joo Gives Birth to Fraternal Twins

On June 3rd, Kang Entertainment confirmed that actress Kong Hyun-joo gave birth to a son and daughter the previous day. Purportedly the mother and the two babies are all healthy. Kong Hyun-joo married a non-celebrity in the financial services industry one year her senior back in March of 2019. Kong Hyun-joo announced that she was pregnant in January of this year, with an expected due date of July.

Kong Hyun-joo is expected to focus on taking care of her babies for the foreseeable future, although Kang Entertainment has stated that she is planning on returning to work at some future point. Kong Hyun-joo last appeared in "Weak Hero Class 1" as the mother of the character played by Park Jihoon. She has been active in the South Korean entertainment industry since 2003, her first named role being in the television drama "Wedding" back in 2005.
