[HanCinema's News] Kwon Nara makes an impact in "Doctor Prisoner"

Kwon Nara has been making a strong impression on Doctor Stranger. In the drama she plays So-geum, an assertive doctor who knows how to make care of herself.

Part of the appeal of So-geum is her sharp sense of analytical perception. She cuts right to the chase and figure out when someone is lying. The sheer force of her cold charisma has that effect on people.

She also has world-weary advise for the lead character Yi-je. When he talks about showing the people of this place a new king, she warns him that those who can't make good on their boasts here end up dead. When Yi-je responds with more bluster, So-geum just maintains her poker face.

Her name is particularly appropriate to this appeal. It means 'salt' in Korean. Yi-je's name, by contrast, has the obviously thematic appropriate meaning of 'right now'.
