Shin Dong-geun also praised the production circumstances of "Parasite", noting that director Bong Joon-ho gave all employees on the project a standard labor project. Shin Dong-geun went on to mention that in addition to satisfying the demands of the South Korean Labor Standards Act it also satisfied the more stringent requirements common in American labor contracts.

Shin Dong-geun was critical of current worker protections in the South Korean film industry. He promised to continue to fight for them in the South Korean legislature. Shin Dong-geun further praised "Parasite" class consciousness with its release during the hundred year anniversary of South Korean film, hoping that the next one hundred years would be as fruitful.

In a final statement Shin Dong-geun described the blacklist carried out by Park Geun-hye's government against alleged political radicals like director Bong Joon-ho as a nightmare. He then extended a round of applause to director Bong Joon-ho.
