[HanCinema's News] Lee Byung-hun Confirms 2.3 Million Dollar Appearance Fee for "Our Blues"

Last week the Mnet television program TMI News Show confirmed the salary for actor Lee Byung-hun. The news segment in question detailed which performers had the highest earnings in the first half of this year. Lee Byung-hun was fifth place overall with earnings of 7.8 billion won, or approximately 6 million dollars. Purportedly he earned 150 million won, or around 115,000 dollars, per episode of "Our Blues" for which there were twenty episodes.

This accounts for about 2.3 million dollars of this income. The remaining money came from advertising spots. Lee Byung-hun earns around 800 million won, or approximately 600,000 dollars, for every advertisement he does, and Lee Byung-hun had six advertisements in the first half of this year. The first highest earning performer was trot singer Lim Young-woong, who performed the title song for "Our Blues" of the same title as the drama itself.

Lim Young-woong had 37.5 billion won in revenue, or around 29 million dollars. The individual members of the K-pop group BTS were second place with 35.2 billion won, or 27 million dollars, per member. Collectively the group had 246.4 billion won in earnings, or around 190 million dollars. Jun Ji-hyun was in fourth place with 13 billion won, or around 10 million dollars, while Ma Dong-seok was in fifth place with 12 billion won, or around 9 million dollars.
