[HanCinema's News] Lee Jung-eun Wins Best Supporting Actress at Chunsa Film Festival

On July 18th Lee Jung-eun won the best supporting actress award for her role in "Parasite" at the 24th annual Chunsa Film Festival. In her acceptance speech, Lee Jung-eun spoke warmly of her mother's references to success from the festival, saying that it put her in a good mood for the night.

Lee Jung-eun went on to thank the South Korean film directors who voted on the awards for their kindness. Lee Jung-eun also talked about how she had often thought that she had never made it as an actress, but nevertheless strived to make sure she never let any chances slip by. Lee Jung-eun also discussed thinking about her life as she turns fifty, and that this award has made her most determined than ever to be a great actress.
"Parasite" also won awards for best director (Bong Joon-ho), best lead actress (Cho Yeo-jeong) as well as screenplay (Bong Joon-ho shared with Han Jin-won). Ju Ji-hoon won the best actor award for his work in "Dark Figure of Crime".
