[HanCinema's News] Seo in-guk Talks About "Pipeline"

Seo In-guk had some choice remarks in a recent interview about his career. According to the actor, his role model is his mother who gave up much to raise him. Purportedly Seo In-guk has encouraged him substantially in his career as both a singer and an actor, and he describes her as the driving force in his life. Seo In-guk also reminisced about how originally he didn't want to do the audition for Superstar K that launched his career, though he was happy he changed his mind.

In discussing "Pipeline" which was released this past May 26th, Seo In-guk mentioned a joke director Yoo Ha made at the press conference about how he only wanted pretty boys for his movie. Seo In-guk said this wasn't part of the concept as he had understood it. Seo In-guk claimed to be drawn to the movie by the charm of his main character, who's smart and used to working fast with an unusual skill set.

Seo In-guk also observed that he was more scared when taking on this role compared to earlier ones in his career, namely "Reply 1997" which is what launched his reputation as an actor. Seo In-guk took this as encouragement, that as he gets better in his craft, he takes more care in making sure that he does a good job. Seo In-guk described his career arc as an actor being similar to that of his musical work, and credits his mother with encouraging him to excel in both roles.

In terms of the future, Seo In-guk expressed hope that he would be able to put in a strong turn in a villainous role. Seo In-guk also confessed to feeling like he was in a slump with every project, and that's he eager for praise as part of his role to personal self-improvement. Seo In-guk is currently appearing in the lead role in the drama "Doom at Your Service" which had domestic ratings of 2.922% on June 7th.
