[HanCinema's News] "Stay With Me" Under Greater Scrutiny Following Scandal

The 2018 4DX/VR short film "Stay With Me" has become an unexpected subject of interest following accusations of unprofessional conduct toward Kim Jung-hyun. A recent news report confirmed that Kim Jung-hyun had been in a romantic relationship with actress Seo Yea-ji from that title, and seemed to imply that she made demands of him regarding "Time - Drama" in 2018. Purportedly, Seo Yea-ji was jealous of Kim Jung-hyun's co-star "Seohyun" and demanded he avoid touching her.

"Stay With Me" was a project designed to show off the capabilities of then new 4DX and VR technology in the home entertainment context. The film also appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. The melodramatic story dealt with Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Yea-ji's characters vividly missing and reminiscing over one another. Rumors about the two being romantically entangled with one another started once the film went public.

The sudden interest in the two's past relationship has been stoken primarily by new rumors that Kim Jung-hyun was engaged in a similar secret relationship with Seo Ji-hye, his co-star from "Dinner Mate" last year. Seo Ji-hye has claimed that they are only friends. Purportedly they are meeting reasonably often because their houses are nearby and they are trying to maintain social distancing guidelines advising against unnecessary travel.
