[HanCinema's News] "Tazza: One Eyed Jack" Begins Promotional Push

With September just around the corner Lotte Entertainment has started pushing its upcoming fall release "Tazza: One Eyed Jack", an ensemble piece revolving around poker. This marks a departure from the previous movies, "Tazza: The High Rollers" and "Tazza: The Hidden Card", which were about Go-Stop.

The character names have also been revealed. Park Jung-min will play Il-chool. Ryoo Seung-bum will play Ae-ggoo, which in spoken Korean sounds like 'ah geez'. Lee Kwang-soo will play Kka-chi, which literally means magpie and is often used as part of a slur. Lim Ji-yeon will play Yeong-mi, Kwon Hae-hyo will play Mister Kwon, and Choi Yu-hwa will play Madonna.

Little is known about these characters, save for that they will no doubt form makeshift alliances, scheme, and double cross each other as is to be expected from the Tazza franchise brand. The film will be directed by Kwon Oh-kwang in his mainstream debut, having earlier earned acclaim for his peculiar independent 2015 film "COLLECTIVE INVENTION".
