[HanCinema's News] "Vincenzo" Cast Members Join Stage Version of "Intimate Strangers"

The South Korean feature film "Intimate Strangers" is only one of eighteen worldwide remakes of the original Italian movie, which now holds the Guinness World Record for a film to have inspired remakes. Now, "Intimate Strangers" has been adapted to stage in South Korea. The stage play has high hopes for success, with the local film having earned over five million local admissions. And it will receive a surprise boost from synergy with the "Vincenzo" cast.

The comic theater drama relies heavily on chemistry within the cast. So it follows that Yang Kyung-won, Kim Seol-jin, and Im Chul-soo have all been tapped for the project. All three actors have come to attention for playing off themselves as well as others in a large scale comedy. They're not the only screen actors to express interest in the project. Jang Hee-jin of "Flower of Evil" is also starring in the first ever stage role for the actress in her seventeen year career.

Even Park Sojin is attached to the production, though the singer is still more associated with her work with Girl's Day than her acting in such dramas as "The Spies Who Loved Me" last year. "Intimate Strangers" will begin playing at the M Theater at the Sejong Center in Gwanghwamun Square on May 18th. Advance tickets can be purchased starting from April 16th.
