"Happy Sunday" scores 1st win atop weekly TV charts

KBS entertainment program "Happy Sunday" scored its first win atop the weekly TV charts, beating out various dramas during the final week of September.

Data by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the variety show raked in viewership ratings of 31.4 percent and 29.3 percent, respectively.

"Happy Sunday", which airs every Sunday night, is divided into two segments; "Two Days and One Night" and "What Makes a Man".

"Two Days" is about the two-day trip to the hidden corners of Korea that stars Korean stars Kang Ho-dong, Lee Seung-gi, Eun Ji-won, MC Mong, Lee Soo-geun and Kim Jong-min, while "What Makes a Man", which stars Lee Gyeong-gyu, Kim Gook-jin, Kim Tae-won, Lee Yun-seok, Kim Seong-min-I, features the 101 things men should do before dying.

Meanwhile, KBS' family drama "Marry Me, Please" took the No. 2 spot on TNmS and AGB charts with ratings of 26.5 percent and 26 percent, respectively, followed by SBS' weekend series "Life is Beautiful" in third place with ratings of 23.6 percent on TNmS' poll and 22.8 percent on AGB's survey.
