Hawaii festival invites 7 Korean films

The Hawaii International Film Festival, held on various islands throughout the state of Hawaii, has invited seven Korean films to screen in its 23rd edition.

Baek Woon-hak's "Tube" and Jeong Yoon-soo's "Yesterday" will form part of a section titled "Action Asia", while box-office hit "My Tutor Friend" by Kim Hyeong-hyoong will screen as a Gala Presentation.

Meanwhile, a Spotlight on Korea section will feature four films: "H" (dir. Lee Jong-hyeok), "Memories of Murder" (dir. Bong Joon-ho), "Save the Green Planet" (dir. Jang Joon-hwan), and "Season in the Sun" (dir. Lee Min-yong).

The festival is scheduled to run on Oahu on October 30 - November 9, and on neighboring islands from November 7 to 9. More information can be found on the festival's website at www.hiff.org
