Heads of Korean Cultural Centers Gather in Seoul

The heads of Korean cultural centers overseas have gathered in Seoul to discuss ways to deepen the international understanding of Korea as well as strategies to effectively promote Korea's increasingly popular pop culture.

Around 40 attendees,. including 24 directors of Korean cultural centers and cultural affairs attaches from 30 countries, are participating in the annual five-day meeting that runs through this Friday.

As part of efforts to fully experience the Korean Wave, the group visited a Korean entertainment agency Tuesday to learn about the latest marketing strategies of K-pop artists.
Over the course of the year, four new Korean cultural centers will be set up in Thailand, Brazil, Belgium and Egypt.
