Aren't high schools scary places? The constant pressure of exams, homework and competition with ones peers is enough to make one to scream.

The crew of an upcoming horror film "Voice Letter" (Yogo Kwedam: Moksori) is now working hard to make the place even more frightening.

"The movie maximizes the fear that is created from the absence of something usual", Choi Ik-hwan, director of "Voice Letter" told reporters Saturday at an indoor set compound in Puchon, Kyonggi Province. "It depicts a series of dreadful accidents after a teacher lost her voice".

The movie is the fourth installment in the "Yogo Kwedam" series. With "Whispering Corridors", in 1998, "Memento Mori" (Yogo Kwedam Tubonjjae Iyagi) in 1999 and "Wishing Stairs" (Yowu Kyedan) in 2003, the films all take place at a girl's high school.

"The most difficult thing is to make each one different. There are things I can't use since they were used in the previous films", said Choe, who was the assistant producer in the three series.

The scenes being shot on Saturday involved a music teacher found hanged by cello strings and a student in an elevator which suddenly stops and blood oozes through the ceiling.

"Today's scene was easier than the one we did at a real school", Kim Seo-hyung said after she finished acting as a dead body hanged from the ceiling. "I had to be wired by cello strings and hung from the ceiling for hours when I first shot the scene".

Starring the beautiful young faces of the year, the series have been admired by many aspiring actresses. Except Kim Seo-hyung, who stared in the film "The Sweet Sex And Love" in 2002, the three other main actresses _ Seo Ji-hye, Kim Ok-vin and Cha Ye-ryun _ are new faces to the screen.

"I was so excited about being cast in the movie after I passed the audition", said Kim Ok-vin, who plays Yong-on, a girl who dies and wonders around the school as a ghost. "Since I am a high school student, I think I can express the character's mentality".

Filming will be completed in March and the movie is to be released in local theaters in June.
