Hong Soo-ah appeared on the SBS Plus TV show "Kang Ho-dong's Babshim" on the 30th.

Hong Soo-ah is starring in the SBS morning drama "Phoenix 2020". She said, "I love it. I always created issues as number 1 in real time search but now my name's up there for my performance. I believe I am doing well in a good piece of work".

About her cosmetic surgery, she said, "I didn't have work 5-6 years ago. They were all light ones. Then I received an offer from China. I starred in a movie as the main actress and then a drama. It was a very dreamy character. But I felt a limit in expressing the character because of my features. So the production suggested I get a make-over and that's how I got my eyes done. Lucky for me, everyone reacted well to it".

She continued, "I hit it off in China but Korea went nuts about it. I didn't have a choice but to accommodate those who wanted me. I was happy to act. I couldn't turn them down".

Hong Soo-ah added, "I was coming back to Korea after some work in China. The photo on my passport is one before I had my make-over. The Chinese authorities wouldn't let me leave because I looked so different. I had to tell them the truth and all the officials gathered to compare my face and the face in the photo. I managed to get out of there with the existing immigration records".
