[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Chae Soo-bin lands lead role in "Strongest Deliveryman"

"Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People" isn't over yet, but lead actress Cha Soo-bin already has her next project lined up with KBS drama, "Strongest Deliveryman".

"Strongest Deliveryman" tells the story of jajangmyeon delivery people trying to survive as part-time workers in 'Hell Joseon', aka modern-day Korea where good jobs are hard to find even if you have the right specs. Chae Soo-bin will take on the role of Lee Dan-ah, a delivery person who is obsessed with making money and has no time for love. Chae Soo-bin recently graduated to female lead in the currently airing, "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", but this is the first time she'll appear as the female lead in the present day.

Yoon Si-yoon was previously up for the male lead, Choi Kang-soo, but ultimately turned the role down in favour of variety idol drama, "The Best Hit", which is a shame because these two could have been cute together. There's no word yet on his replacement, but given that this is meant to be a show about the struggles of ordinary people, I hope the character doesn't turn out to be a secret chaebol or someone with superpowers.

"Strongest Deliveryman" is set to air on KBS in July, following "The Best Hit".
