[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Kim Ok-vin offered lead role in "Falsify"

Fresh off the success of "The Villainess" at Cannes, Kim Ok-vin is the latest actress to be considered for the female lead in newsroom drama, "Falsify".

Filming has already started and it's set to air in July, but "Falsify" has yet to cast its female lead. While Kang Han-na and Chun Woo-hee were previously in the running, it's currently Kim Ok-vin who's considering taking on the role of Prosecutor Kwon So-ra. If she accepts, she'll be up against Namkoong Min as a reporter in a team led by Yu Jun-sang. Jeon Hye-bin has also signed on to play a photojournalist.

"Falsify" tells the story of a team of reporters and prosecutors teaming up to uncover lies and corruption, but it will have a hard time doing it if they don't cast their female lead soon. Kim Ok-vin as an elite, ass-kicking prosecutor sounds like something I need to watch, so here's hoping she accepts.
