Lee Young-ae and Song Seung-heon had a press conference in Kangwondo on the 30th. This is the first time Lee Young-ae had made a public appearance so it was highly anticipated. 250 or so reporters from Korea, China and Japan came to see her.

Known for her perfect beauty, Lee Young-ae still looks beautiful 10 years later. The word 'preservative' is used to describe her never-aging beauty. She looks beautiful even after she's had two children and her special 'aura' was enough to exclaim for.

She looks more relaxed than she was 10 years ago. She joked about the female staff who only took care of Song Seung-hoon.

While talking about the lives of a mother and a wife, she said she related to Saimdang. She found a common factor between 'career woman' Saimdang and herself as a housewife. "As a mother, I have a different view of the world. I understand what it's like to be a mother and raise children. The reason I chose Saimdang was because it seemed like a fun idea, but I also wanted to resolve the matters of education and life as a woman".

After the press conference, Song Seung-heon and Lee Young-ae both had to get to making the drama. Song Seung-heon stood in front of the camera in a Hanbok.

Lee Young-ae was in a scene with Yang Se-jong who plays her assistant Han Sang-hyeon. Despite her long leave of absence, Lee Young-ae played her part so well and seemed very comfortable with the environment.

This is Lee Young-ae's first drama in 10 years so many fans are anticipating her return. She's also very determined about this one.

Along with the target of wanting to tell everyone that Saimdang wasn't just a boring character who is now on the 50,000 won bill, Lee Young-ae wants to break stereotype about herself too.

"Saimdang: Light's Diary" is a remake of the life of Saimdang. Lee Young-ae plays a university lecturer and Saimdang at the same time. She goes through the diary of Saimdang she found and resolves the secrets of Miindo. Song Seung-heon is Lee Kyeom, who has loved Saimdang all of his life ever since the moment he met her when they were young.

"Saimdang: Light's Diary" is being pre-sold to Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and 6 other Asian countries. 100% of it is being pre-produced and it can be seen in 2016 on SBS.
