Hwang Dong-joo to star in new MBC "The Great Wives"

Actor Hwang Dong-joo is starring in the new MBC daily drama "The Great Wives".

"The Great Wives" is about three women from the same apartment complex, who go through murder, a risky marriage, divorce and terrifying revenge. These three women went to the same school and maintain a secret relationship.

Hwang Dong-joo is the main actor who plays Lee Seong-ho who made his own fortune and is a very skilled young man. He has the looks and is known well for his beauty skills but gets in trouble with his wife due to an unexpected event. In previous dramas he usually played a CEO, doctor, and goodie-two-shoes but this time he comes back a comical character.

Hwang Dong-joo recently starred in the KBS 1TV drama "Two Mothers" and played a big role in the success of the drama. He's reuniting with writer Hwang Soon-yeong this time.

Drama personnel says, "He's proven his worth through his past work and he's someone we can trust. He's going to play Lee Seong-ho for the next six months and you can look forward to his new comical character.

"The Great Wives" is due this 15th of June.
