Hyun-a Shares Global Spotlight with Psy

Singer Hyun-a has been receiving much attention from the foreign media as the next Korean star to potentially follow in the footsteps of Psy, who is currently basking in his global success.

British daily The Guardian said on Wednesday that "if anyone could follow PSY's success, it would be 4minute's very own Hyun-a, who not only produced one of 2011's greatest songs with 'Bubble Pop!' but also has a cameo in 'Gangnam Style'."

British music website Popjustice also praised her music video for "Ice Cream". Last year, the site picked Hyun-a's "Bubble Pop!" as its song of the day.

MTV Russia also named Hyun-a as Korea's hottest star, while Billboard.com labeled "Ice Cream" as one of this week's must-see videos.

Referring to her new music video as a "sexy, sweets-filled video", U.S. website Examiner commented that she emerged as a "viral video star in her own right with 'Bubble Pop!' before appearing in 'Gangnam Style'."
