"The Fatal Encounter" is expected to join the ranks of South Korea's most treasured period films including "Masquerade" (2012) and "The Face Reader" (2013).

When Hyun Bin's steamy topless scene was revealed on the official teaser trailer in March (http://youtu.be/BbLoZyFrpiE), a great deal of buzz was generated amongst moviegoers, causing the it to be shared across major Korean drama streaming platforms including Viki and DramaFever. The teaser trailer garnered over 10,000 views within an hour.

The film represents Hyun Bin's first starring role since completing his mandatory military service and he is joined by a brilliant cast including Jung Jae-young ("Welcome to Dongmakgol"), Cho Jung-seok ("The Face Reader"), and Han Ji-min ("The Rooftop Prince"). Increasing the anticipation for the film is director Lee Jae-gyoo, who is best known for his TV dramas "Damo" (2003), "The King 2 Hearts" (2012), and "Beethoven Virus" (2008) -- all of which famously cultivated an unprecedented K-Drama fanbase around the world.

"The Fatal Encounter" is a historical drama of palace intrigue, which takes place during the Joseon Dynasty.
