The first episode of the drama "I Need a Fairy" introduced all of its characters. Fairy Wang-mo (Shim Hye-jin) came down to the earth's fairy bath house with her daughter Chae-hwa (Hwang Woo-seul-hye) who was about to get married. However, two extras on the set of "I Need a Fairy" nearby took their clothes, and having lost their 'winged' clothes, Wang-mo and Chae-hwa take a taxi to Seoul to find the maker of the drama, Cha Se-joo (Cha In-pyo).

Cha In-pyo, who is known for his charisma, became the laughing stock of everyone around as he got easily excited at all kinds of small things happening to him, only finding his peace with a hoola hoop. He was also comical as the father of son Cha Gook-min (Park Min-woo). He even peeked at Chae-hwa taking a bath in the fairy bath house and moved his chest muscles as he told himself, "I am going to sing with my heart".

Hwang Woo-seul-hye and Shim Hye-jin's fairy act and Lee Doo-il, Shim Hye-jin and Park Hee-jin's teamwork, which they established during the drama "Hello, Francesca", shown brightly.

This drama being KBS's first sitcom in a long time, there were many cameo appearances too. Comedian Kim Mi-ryeo appeared as a fortune teller, movie director Kim Hang-joon as a movie director and comedian Oh Jung-tae as the taxi driver.

Meanwhile, "I Need a Fairy" is the first sitcom from KBS in four years, featuring Shim Hye-jin, Lee Doo-il, Park Hee-jin, Cha In-pyo, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, Yoon Ji-min, Park Min-woo, Kim Yoon-hye, Choi Jung-won-I, Cha Min-jee, Heo Young-saeng and CNU.
