"Iljimae" Lee Joon-gi Clad in 5 Million Won Wardrobe

A 5 million won outfit shows up on "Iljimae", a new period drama. It is the armor that Lee Joon-gi wore in yesterday's first broadcast of the SBS fusion period drama "Iljimae", (screenplay by Choi Ran-I, directed by Lee Yong Suk).

Lee Joon-gi wears three types of armor in the TV drama, and one chest armor he wears is an art piece that took metal craftsman Park Joon four months to create.

The producers of "Iljimae" said that they didn't "cut any costs when it came to making fashionable armor".

The SBS art designer in charge of Iljimae's wardrobe is Tak Eun-joo. "An important criteria for Iljimae's wardrobe includes maintaining his ability to use various weapons with ease", she explained. "His black outfit was accented with a red band around the waist and most of his accessories weren't purchased, but made delicately by hand. We wanted him to stand out".
