The press conference of movie "Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island" was held on the 2nd at Megabox Dongdaemun.

The first movie "Detective K" recorded 4.7 million audiences in 2011 and the second round is being released this year with the same crew and cast only with the addition of beauties Han Ji-min and Lee Yeon-hee.

"Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island" has many expecting the best out of it and the story is based on the Joseon times like the first one where Kim Min the detective and Seo Pil struggle to reveal the truth about a crime organization.

- The team gets together for the first time in 4 years

There's no sequel better than the first but "Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island" seems to have avoided that saying. The story is better than before and keeps the audience laughing until the end. There's a touching story every now and then which proves that it's the work of director Kim Seok-yoon indeed.

Kim Myung-min in the role of Kim Min says, "The directing team and cast are the same from 4 years ago. It's amazing that we are all back together for a movie".

Director Kim said, "Kim Myung-min and Oh Dal-soo's teamwork is outstanding".

The director chose 'teamwork' as the secret to getting the best team of casts together to create a successful movie.

- Total beauty Lee Yeon-hee

The bromance of the movie made everyone laugh but Lee Yeon-hee has everyone mesmerized. She plays Hisako, a mysterious woman who appears in every case. She looks radiant in a kimono and her beauty is breathtaking.

Lee Yeon-hee said, "I have never worn a kimono before so I researched about it and how to wear it as well as how to act in it. I guess that helped me look natural in it. I tried to make Hisako easy to understand for the audience".

Lee Yeon-hee looks exotic in a kimono and elegant in a hanbok.

Lee Yeon-hee thinks she suits being in a historical and was very comfortable acting out this character.

- Common but strong, the hero and the sidekick

The movie is led from beginning to end by Kim Myung-min and Oh Dal-soo. Their bromance is in the center of the laughter code. The concept of a hero and his sidekick or detective and assistant has been seen in "Sherlock Holmes" but "Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island" has its own color.

Kim Myung-min said, "The concept of detective and assistant is common but we are the best when it comes to expressing Korean feeling".

Kim Myung-min and Oh Dal-soo has great effect on the movie. Kim Myung-min naturally linked Kim Min from the first episode to the second one and Oh Dal-soo stood out as the actor with the title, '100 million won actor'.

- What's the difference between the first and second? Will there be a third?

The director concentrated on 'comedy'. Kim Myung-min said, "The pitcher throws a ball according to who the catcher is. Oh Dal-soo is one who catches all the balls. He doesn't give anyone time to doubt. I am a sponge. I ask for it all. My act was only possible thanks to Oh Dal-soo".

Oh Dal-soo said, "I am the kind to bring the character to me and not the other way around. I create an impact that much bigger. "Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island" is my first series and the second one has more of my part in it. I turned the pressure of having to lead the movie into joy".

The second movie brings about expectations about the third one. The last scene of the movie hints that it's not over yet.

Those who have seen the movie might agree. They might want to see the outstanding actors act again. There is a rare chance for a series to progress more than the first episode. However, it isn't too much to expect the best out of "Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island". Audiences can decide for themselves this coming 11th.
