Indie Film Festival to Open Friday in Seoul

The 31st Seoul Independent Film Festival ( http://www.siff.or.kr) will open Friday at CGV Sangam theater in Seoul.

Presented by the Association of Korean Independent Film and Video and the Korean Film Council, the festival is an annual competition showcasing films in all genres and those that challenge traditional mindsets and provide new vision.

The organizer reviewed 515 films before selecting 54 for the competition, including 31 short films of under 25 minutes, 15 medium length of under 60 minutes and eight features of an hour or more.

The opening film is director Kim Dong-hyun-VI's "A Shark".
