The annual International Women's Film Festival in Seoul, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, will open under the theme "See the World Through Women's Eyes".

This year's festival, which will open on April 10, will screen a total of 141 films (63 long films, 78 short films) from 30 countries around the world that look at various aspects of life from women's perspectives.

The opening film 'Ten Ten' is an HD omnibus project movie made up of short films by six Korean and overseas film directors.

This year's film festival will also introduce a brand new award category named after Korea's first female film director Park Nam-ok. The first recipient of the Park Nam-ok Movie Award will go to Yim Soon-rye, who directed 'Forever the Moment'. Lim plans to address the audience and talk about the film.

Although the film festival is non-competitive, there are a few competitive categories. Nineteen films from five Asian countries will compete in the 'Asia Short Film Competition' for the best film award, the outstanding film award and the audience choice award. Winning films will be screened during the closing ceremony on April 18. Korean daily Women News will also give out the Women News Award.

A variety of fun-filled events will take place during this year's festival including dynamic concerts such as 'Rock and Rock', 'Acoustic Relay' and 'Queer Night'.
