Every time we hear about a particular actor or actress getting cast in a new drama, not only does it bring excitement for the said drama but it also calls upon fandoms who have been eagerly waiting for such an announcement. Here are my picks for the top 10 K-Drama casting news that gave me butterflies in my stomach from how exciting they were!

"Our Blues"

"Our Blues" features a star-studded cast: Lee Byung-hun, Han Ji-min, Lee Jung-eun, Cha Seung-won, Uhm Jung-hwa, Shin Min-a & Kim Woo-bin, and the slice-of-life format is an absolute fan-favourite. To be able to see such incredible actors work on the same project is simply a treat for fans but more importantly, it is the thought of seeing the Korean entertainment industry's royal couple, Shin Min-a and Kim Woo-bin together on screen that made them even more elated about the casting.

"My Liberation Notes"

"My Liberation Notes" is single-handedly bringing together some of the most versatile, experimental, and talented actors in the industry: Kim Ji-won, Lee Min-ki, Lee El, and Son Sukku and I could not be more excited about this brilliant cast. The complex web of relationships that they're meant to portray is even more reason to look forward to this drama.

Whenever a webtoon gets a K-Drama adaptation, attention is focused on the casting more than anything else, especially when it is a hugely popular work in and of itself.
