Jang Dong-gun and Kim Nam-joo are under tax investigation, but they claim it's just a regularity and has nothing to do with tax evasion.

According to sources, Jang Dong-gun was investigated by the Seoul Gangnam Tax Office for about a week since the middle of the month. Kim Nam-joo was investigated by the Samsung Tax Office under the Seoul Regional Tax Office earlier this month.

Individual integrated tax audit means surveying not only income tax, but also VAT and withholding tax related to individual business. The tax authorities have been focusing on whether the taxpayer has properly processed expenses and whether money is missing. Some have raised suspicions about this being an investigation for tax evasions.
