Japanese spend the end of the year with "Dae jang geum"

"Dae Jang Geum" has been now telecasted in the public broadcasting after NHK satellite channel and following "Winter Sonata" it hits Japan with the rating of more than 20%. NHK started to re-air two episodes one day intensively since December through BS2 satellite channel.

With its special airing, NHK drew up of the one-hour special programs like "Daejanggeum came", "We want to know more! Dae Jang Geum", "Looking for the mind of Dae Jang Geum", "Start from actress Lee Young-ae Dae Jang Geum" to add up the fever of TV drama.

Thanks to Korean series popularity, lots of events such as Korean traditional food and culture are held continuously. Especially, Shizuoka city holds an event "Invite to Hallyu drama" from Dec. 11 to 18.
The event will present the pictures of Daejanggeum, other Hallyu dramas' best scenes, King's eating table and Chosun Dynasty documents so that Japanese could have a chance to meet the Korean history and culture.

In addition, on Dec .18, a talk show will be made with the panels of actress Park Jung-sook featuring Munjung Queen, actor Lee Gyeong-won featuring security officer as well as Japanese Ikuta Tomoko dubbing Janggeum in Japan. The fever of "Jewel in the Palace" will be continued in Japan early next year as well.
