Jazz Singer Youn Sun Nah Awarded Top French Honor

Jazz singer Youn Sun Nah has been awarded France's highest decoration for merit, the Légion d'honneur.

Her management agency said Nah will receive the honor at a ceremony at the French Embassy in Seoul on Nov. 28. She is being given the fourth-highest rank of "officier".
Nah was already awarded the fifth rank of "chevalier" back in 2009. Other singers who received the officier medal are tenor Luciano Pavarotti, 2016 Nobel literature laureate Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney of the Beatles.
She goes on a nationwide tour starting on Dec. 12 in Jeju and performs in Seoul on Dec. 28.
