The festival kicks off with the French film "The Concert" by Romanian director Radu Mihaileanu. It tells the story of a conductor of Moscow's Bolshoi orchestra during Soviet era who is fired for playing with Jewish musicians and takes a job as the theater's cleaner. After 30 years, he manages to reunite his orchestra in Paris.
