According to the legal community, Ji Soo recently filed a non-prosecution (no charges) against netizen 'A' for the case of defaming him. As for the reason for the non-prosecution, it drew attention by saying that the comments written by 'A' were accurately stated that they could not be considered false.

Earlier in March 2021, Ji Soo was shocked to be identified as the perpetrator of school violence through an article posted on an online community. Many netizens, including 'A', agreed with the first article containing suspicions related to Ji Soo's school violence and confessed that he too, had been a victim.

As the controversy grew, Ji Soo posted an official apology saying, "I sincerely apologize to those who suffered because of me. I will reflect on my past for the rest of my life and regret it". Ji Soo dropped out during the KBS2 drama "River Where the Moon Rises" due to controversy over school violence, and later enlisted in October 2021 and is currently serving for the community.

However, after the official apology and self-reflection, the index's legal representative again surprised the public by suing the false writer for defamation. Ji Soo's representative said, "The client sued the authors of school violence-related articles and comments, including the initial disclosure, on charges of defamation by stating false information. According to the court's recent judgment that the falsehood and explanation for the damage suffered by the client are sufficient, a search warrant has been issued to identify the author of the school violence allegation, and a related investigation is underway", he said.

The school violence case began an investigation due to a criminal complaint filed by Ji Soo. However, the police also decided to send 'A' without charges, and Ji Soo appealed and the case was handed over to prosecution. As a result, the prosecution also ruled that there were no charges, but Ji Soo has filed a final ruling against the ruling again.
