This actor takes on the role of a father named Sang-hyeon who becomes a murderer after losing his daughter.

Director Lee Jeong-ho says, "The daily life of Sang-hyeon portrayed by Jung Jae-young was very surprising". Jung Jae-young did such a good job. He climbed snow hills with his bare hands in weather which was below 25 degrees Celsius and fought with himself mentally and physically.

"I tried to arrange the emotions of a father who lost his daughter in reality. No matter how exhausting it was mentally and physically, I had to move forward". As if he really became Sang-hyeon, Jung Jae-young fought through the cold and snow with shabby clothes and shoes with no gloves.

Lee Sung-min takes on the role of a detective who chases after Sang-hyeon. He said, "Jung Jae-young didn't want to wear gloves to be Sang-hyeon. He had to tape every single finger after that because they were frozen. I didn't think what I was feeling was cold after seeing him".

About the scene taken in the mountains, Jung Jae-young says, "I don't know if my fingers felt like breaking off or if I wanted to break them off, but I didn't want to make Sang-hyeon seem weak".

Jung Jae-young carried out fighting and falling scenes without a stand-in. The true story behind the falling scene committing murder is even more horrific. He runs into a dead end while being chased by the police and he jumps off a building.

Jung Jae-young wasn't wearing any safety equipment and hung onto the windowsill. He then fell down the building because his hands couldn't support his weight anymore.

Meanwhile, "Broken" is an original by Higashino Geiko about a father who becomes a murderer after losing his daughter and a detective on the hunt for him. To be released in April.
